Meet Kelly Barnes
Kelly is a scientist, strategist, and builder who sees possibility in complicated problems. Before founding ISG, she spent more than 15 years leading clinical research, scientific strategy, and innovation, including more than a decade at PepsiCo and the Gatorade Sports Science Institute.
Her strength is not simply finding the evidence. It is asking the question behind the question, recognizing what matters, and translating scientific nuance into a path teams can act on.
With an M.S. in Clinical Exercise Physiology, a B.A. in Psychology, sports nutrition certification, and training in statistics and Good Clinical Practice, Kelly's approach is rigorous without being rigid, direct without losing warmth, and grounded in the realities of product development and business decisions.
